One thing I have learned as a parent, is that my kids prefer hands on learning experiences. If they can touch or interact with a lesson, it stays with them and gives them structure to build upon. When I was asked to review WonderMind, which is described as a complete five-piece interactive learning system, I immediately said yes!
Here is some information about WonderMind from their site: Initially developed in Japan in 1988, WonderMind is used by millions of families in Japan, China, South Korea and Taiwan. And now, its celebrated learning system comes to America! WonderMind takes the learning process one step further than virtually any early child development program by being rooted in the importance of encouragement rather than simply teaching. All FIVE pieces of the WonderMind program work in harmony to correspond to stages of physical and psychological development. This enriching educational package features various media, including Activity Books, DVDs, Educational Toys, and Parenting Guides.
WonderMind was nice enough to send me one of their Preschool Kit’s to review. This kit is designed for kids age 4, which made it perfect for Blake. When the box arrived, Blake immediately knew it was for him, since it has such a kid friendly design. Once the box was opened, the fun continued. He walks around with his clock and keeps asking where the hands go, and he has learned quite quickly how to tell time. We still have the workbook to do and the video to watch, but he was so engaged with his new interactive clock that I already feel like this program works.
The Preschool Kit included the following:
Wonder and Discovery Theater DVD- In considering children’s safety issues and their limited attention span, we designed each DVD program to be 20 minutes long. We also created our programs to have interactive features so that your child won’t get bored just sitting and watching them.
Wonder and Discovery Picture Book- The Picture Book helps your child deepen his or her understanding of the topics introduced in the DVD. Your child will enjoy learning with various topics and quizzes stimulating his or her curiosity.
Discovery Workbook- The Workbook allows your child to review what they have learned at his or her own pace while also having fun. You can use the reward stickers that are included in the book to stimulate your child’s willingness to learn more.
Tick-Tock’s Talking Toy Clock– Tick-Tock’s Talking Toy Clock is equipped with a “quiz button.” When your child presses the button, Teegy will ask him or her to set the clock to a certain time. Ask your child to listen to Teegy’s voice carefully, adjust the hands of the clock to the right positions, and check the correct answer. Your child will be absorbed in these activities and have a great time, even while playing alone! Tick-Tock’s Talking Toy Clock is a perfect Educational Toy that helps preschoolers (ages 4-5) start to learn about the concept of time.
WonderMind Parenting Guide- The WonderMind Parenting Guides provide valuable information and tips for busy parents, helping you to communicate and connect with your child, deepening the bond you share.
The WonderMind Kit retails for only %29.99 and comes with a 30 day money back guarantee! They have two kits available the Toddler Kit (Age 1) or the Preschool Kit (Age 4). For more information, or to order your own, visit WonderMind.com.
