When I was younger, I used to love receiving mail. Whether is was a letter or card, it just made me feel special. My husband and I have often talked about getting the boys a magazine subscription, but we had not found one that was suitable for both their ages. Recently, I learned that Disney is launching a new, ad-free magazine just for kids called Disney Family Fun Kids! I knew that this would be a perfect fit for my boys.
Here is some information about Disney Family Fun Kids: This magazine celebrates and enhances kids’ creative abilities with ideas, games, and puzzles that they can explore on their own. The magazine is designed to be a tactile product with high quality, family and kid-tested activities. There are no rules – kids can write in it, cut it up or fold pages – and they’re encouraged to do so!
Disney was nice enough to send my boys a kit containing the very first issue of the magazine along with lots of fun stuff to help complete some of the issue’s activities. The first thing I noticed was the bright, colorful, and fun cover, which featured robots. The robots did the trick and my boys were instantly interested in this magazine. The first activity they did included cutting mustaches and gluing them to faces. Wyatt thinks mustaches are hilarious and Blake loves scissors, so I must admit that this activity kept them busy for about 45 minutes. They would work at their creations and then just start giggling. I loved that a lot of the activities and crafts used items that can be found around your house.
You can subscribe to 1 year Disney FamilyFun Kids magazine, which includes 6 issues, for just $23.94! To learn more or see a preview of this magazine, click here. A magazine subscription is a great holiday gift for kids, as the gift keeps coming!
