Blake is a huge fan of the Fresh Beat Band! He loves the music and he plays his instruments along with the group. I even catch myself singing along with him, since he has a couple of favorite episodes that he keeps watching on Netflix! We actually missed the TV movie The Wizard of Song, so I am glad to see that Nickelodeon has just released Fresh Beat Band: The Wizard Of Song on DVD.

Here is a list of episodes, and their synopsis, which are included on the Fresh Beat Band: The Wizard of Song DVD-

The Wizard of Song- When Marina gets swept up into a windstorm, she lands in Oz where she meets Glinda the Good Witch (Sarah Chalke). Along the way, she befriends a Scarecrow (Twist), a Tin Woods-Woman (Kiki), and a Lion (Shout) and they go to the Wizard of Song (Jason Mraz) so that Marina can find her way home.

Ghost Band- The Fresh Beats run into a ghost band when they get a gig in a western town. They face-off against the ghosts in a musical showdown and discover that the ghosts are misunderstood. So they work together to bring people back to the town.

Chimps in Charge- The Fresh Beats help their friend Harper babysit a pair of chimps who are a lot to handle. Marina gets the idea to build a jungle gym for the chimps in the park and the Fresh Beats find a perfect song to rock their show.

Nickelodeon was nice enough to send us a copy of The Wizard of Song to review. Blake quickly grabbed his guitar and drum sticks, sat on the couch, and asked me to put on the Fresh Beats! His favorite episode was Chimps in Charge, because he thought the monkeys were funny. I had fun watching Sarah Chalke and Jason Mraz, whose music I really like, in The Wizard of Song.

Fresh Beat Band: The Wizard of Song has a running time of 88 minutes and retails for $14.99. This DVD is available for purchase now from amazon.com.

  1. My daughter is 1 1/2, not sure she has a favorite but she LOVES listening and dancing to the fresh beats!!!! This could def be put away for a christmas gift!!!

  23. I don’t know that my 3 year old has a favorite character/person. She enjoys singing and dancing to the music and I also babysit a 18 month old that just lights up when they come on!
    We Love them ALL

  44. My daughter hasn’t seen this show yet so she doesn’t have a favorite, but this looks like something she would really love!
