January is the time for resolutions and getting active, so why not get the kids involved, too.  Just in time for some laughing action, Nickelodeon is set to release, SpongeBob SquarePants: Extreme Kah-Rah-Tay on DVD on January 15, 2013.  On this brand-new DVD, watch SpongeBob help Sandy teach Squidward karate, then SpongeBob wow a sensei, try to join an extreme sports team, break a book of sports-related world records with Sandy and put his driving skills to the test.

Here is a list of the episodes, and their synopsis, which are included on this DVD:

Squid Defense- After getting his groceries stolen, Squidward convinces SpongeBob and Sandy to teach him karate.

The Way of the Sponge- SpongeBob wants to earn his belt from karate master Fuzzy Acorns, with Sandy’s help. 

House Sittin’ for Sandy- SpongeBob house-sits for Sandy, and all is quiet until Patrick shows up.

The Krabby Patty That Ate Bikini Bottom- Mr. Krabs uses Sandy’s experimental growth formula on Krabby Patty with disastrous results.

Extreme Spots- SpongeBob and Patrick try to join the extreme sports team “The Drasticals.” 

Squirrel Record- Sandy finds a book of world’s records and tries to break them all with SpongeBob’s help. 

Face Freeze- SpongeBob and Patrick bet who can hold a “funny face” the longest – until their faces freeze that way. 

Demolition Doofus- Mrs. Puff enters SpongeBob into the Demolition Derby, where his bad driving makes him a star. 

Nickelodeon was nice enough to send my boys a copy of the DVD to review.  They had seen most of these episodes before, but their favorite was Squid Defense.  Regardless of how many times they see this show, they just giggle away.  Wyatt loves all the Kah-Rah-Tay episodes!

SpongeBob SquarePants: Extreme Kah-Rah-Tay has a running time of 88 minutes and retails for $14.99.  This DVD is available for pre-order now from amazon.com.
