Ever wish that there was a fool proof way to find out what your kids want for Christmas, without asking a hundred times?  Now there is, thanks to some help of Santa’s Hideout, which is a site that allows kids to create an online wish list for Santa!  This interactive website, which is FREE, not only allows your kids to create a list, but does so under parental controls.

Here is some information about Santa’s Hideout from their site:  Santa’s Hideout is a modern twist on the timeless tradition of making lists for Santa that can be shared with family and friends. Santa’s Hideout takes the guess work out of holiday shopping by creating a SAFE, ONE-STOP, PARENT CONTROLLED, MAGICAL enviroment!

This is how the website works:

1. You create an account for as many children as you need. You control the access, set limits on budget, and decide what items can or can’t be shown.
2. Parents and “Santa” can then send messages of encouragement and support to your kids. They can be anything from asking recipients to perform chores or do well in school.  As a reward, they can add another item to their List or can create their own message.
3. In the end, the Parent is the decision maker on all items children add, and can share a registry that exceeds “Santa’s” budget with grandparents and others.  Parents also have the power of VETO, where the can delete items that seem excessive or inappropriate. Parents can also set up group lists for gifts that are shared across multiple children, like that XBox 360 grandma is buying for the entire family.

This website is a great way for your kids to build a wish list that is easy to share with other family members and allows for easy secret keeping among the adults!  I love that you can set budget limits, which make them really decide which gifts they want the most.  My second favorite feature is that it allows you to see what others have purchased off the lists, so there will be no day after Christmas returns!
