For those of you who have met me, you know that I am a people person. I love being around others and hosting parties at my house. But, what I don’t like is having to figure out what I am going to cook. I enjoy cooking, but suck at decision making, which makes menu planning a task. I learned a new trick recently from Lucky Leaf and I am going to share it with you! Did you know that in addition to having recipes printed on their labels, you can also find them online. And, their pie filling can be used to create yummy main courses and not just deserts!!
Here is some information about Lucky Leaf from their site: Since 1949 Lucky Leaf has stayed true to its mission
of providing simple, delicious dessert products for families across the United States by constantly improving our products
to meet the changing needs of our customers. At first, Lucky Leaf was solely dedicated to fresh applesauce. But as the American woman became too busy to make her delicious homemade pies from scratch, we took care of the hard part and started making ready-to-use apple pie filling. In no time, Lucky Leaf Ready-To-Use Apple Pie Filling hit the shelves and those delicious apple pies were back on windowsills across America. With the success of our apple pie filling, America’s appetite for Lucky Leaf grew. We responded to America’s hunger by expanding our line of flavors. That’s why today you have a number of delicious varieties like our line of Premium Cherry, Apple, Blueberry, Lemon, Red Raspberry, Lite, and Crème in your grocery stores — so you can make whichever type of pie you want quickly and easily. 60 years later, we still say, “Make it easy. Make it delicious. Make it with Lucky Leaf” and we will continue to improve our product to meet the needs of our customers for 60 years to come.
Lucky Leaf offered me the chance to host a dinner party at my house and try a few of their new fall recipes, which included Sweet and Hot Slow Cooker Pork, Cherry Chocotinis, and a Caramel Apple Cheesecake. Since I was entertaining some guests from out of town, I need quick and easy recipes and these fit the bill. I was able to put together the Caramel Apple Cheesecake in under an hour and it tasted as if I had slaved in the kitchen! I love how the apples are layered underneath and above the cheesecake filling. All my guests were impressed and I think it would make a great addition to any Thanksgiving table!
