Mardi Gras Mambo: Krewe of Muses CLOSED

In Greek Mythology the nine Muses were the daughters of Zeus. They are the Greek goddesses who presided over the arts and sciences. But in New Orleans, they are the all female Krewe that has over 1100 members and was formed in 2000. Their vision is to tap into and recognize the local artistic and cultural resources of the community.

Muses defining throw is shoes that have been decorated by their Krewe members. If you are really lucky, or know someone, you may walk away with one of these:

In honoring the Krewe of Muses and their love of shoes, we have found something special. The etsy shop of Deb Dutch, has offered one lucky winner a gift card for $25.00 to her store. She has the most adorable shoes that I have ever seen.

She hand paints all of her shoes and will even do monogramming. Her shoes are extremely well detailed and the color combinations are just awesome. She has designs for all ages, from mary janes to hightops.
