Review and Giveaway: Casio Baby-G Watch CLOSED

I am a minimalist when it comes to my everyday jewelry.  I tend to wear only my wedding rings and a watch, because everything else just gets in the way while I am at work.  Since I work in a lab, I need a watch that can withstand getting wet and much more.  My last work watch had bit the dust, so I went in search of a new one, which is how I found out about this awesome solar powered Casio Baby-G.

Here is some more about this watch from Casio’s website:  For jet-setting women, Casio introduces a new Solar Powered timepiece with Multi-Band 5 Atomic Timekeeping. Eco-friendly, this analog/digital timepiece is powered by light and with Atomic Timekeeping and 48-city world time you can count on being punctual wherever your travels take you. As with every Baby-G, this watch is shock resistant, water resistant up to 100m (330ft), has a 1/100 sec. Stopwatch and LED light. Available in black and white with a lustrous gloss finish, it’s casual, chic and classy all in one. Ana-Digi watch with white resin band and grey face.

Casio was nice enough to send me a Baby-G watch to review and I have totally been won over by this watch.  This is the first Casio watch that I have owned and I am amazed by all the features that is offers.  I was hesitant in the beginning of the white band, but it has stayed clean with me wearing it daily for the last month.  I love the color of the face, since it has a blue tint.  I like that it runs on solar energy, which means less battery replacement.  It did take me a little while to figure out how to set it for my time zone, but the manual was easy to understand and follow.  Here is a picture of me showing off my new watch.

I have found this watch very comfortable, since breaking it in and its LED lights up a cool orange color.  It is very stylish and goes with everything.   I also find the digital display with a choice day of the week or date very useful.

If you have a special women in your life, consider getting them a Baby-G this holiday season.  I think it would make a great gift for teens and adults alike.  The Casio Baby-G retails for $160 and can be purchased at my.casio.com.
