Review and Giveaway: General Mills Reduced Sugar Cereals CLOSED

As with every new year, we always start the year off with the resolution to eat healthier.  This year, it will be easier to keep thanks to General Mills, who announced a commitment to further reduce sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving!  These cereals include Lucky Charms, Trix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Cocoa Puffs.

Cereals deliver important vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients, making it a top source of key nutrients in children’s diets. Other cereal benefits include: they account for only 5% of sugar in children’s diets, they are the No. 1 source of whole grains in a child’s diet today, and more frequent cereal eaters tend to have healthier body weights and lower Body Mass Index measures.

General Mills was nice enough to send us some coupons to try out some of their cereals.  My boys, husband and Wyatt, chose Lucky Charms.  Wyatt thought they were yummy, especially the marshmallows.LOL   I can’t wait to see if he will feel the sam about the reduced sugar version.
