I have shared with you all before how much both my boys like to eat apple sauce. Blake actually already says “apple sauce” and he is only 19 months! So, when Musselman’s invited me to try out their new Springtime recipes and crafts, we were on board.
Musselman’s helps provide your family with a healthy snack option. Here are a few facts about Musselman’s apple sauce from their site: Apple Sauce naturally has no fat or cholesterol and is low in sodium, Every 4-ounce Musselman’s Single-Serve cup equals one daily serving of fruit, and Apples contain complex carbohydrates that give you energy faster than eating something high in sugar.
To help my family have fun with Spring, Musselman’s sent us some apple sauce along with a few of their fun recipes and activities to try out. We decided to try making the Bunny Place Cards first. It is a very simple recipe that consists only of apple sauce and cinnamon. Wyatt had a great time helping me roll out the dough and cutting out the bunnies with the cookie cutter. Here he is being my big helper.
After we cut them out, the went in to the oven for a couple of hours, which made my house smell really good! The boys kept asking what I was baking and when they could eat them. I had to explain that they were only for decoration.LOL Here is what our bunnies looked like after baking.
Now all we have let to do is decorate them! This was a super easy craft that Wyatt was able to help alot with and I know he will have just as much fun spiffing them up.
For more great ideas on spring crafts and snacks, including a great idea for a bunny-faced side dish, be sure to check out Musselman’s Facebook Page.
