As my boys get older, and life more hectic, I am always looking for ways to simplify my household chores.  Laundry in our house seems to multiply, and for every load I wash, I am convinced 3 more magically appear.  From the time it takes to sort the clothes, start the washer, and add the proper detergent and stain fighter, it seems like I live in my laundry room.  Therefore, I am convinced Tide had me in mine, when they created Tide Pods.

Here is some information about the New Tide Pods from their site:  Now you can clean, fight stains, and brighten all in one easy step.  The pods contain detergent, stain remover and brightener. The innovative, new multi-chamber design separates ingredients until they hit the wash for outstanding cleaning power.  The Pods are available in three scents: Spring Meadow, Ocean Mist andMysticForest.

Tide was nice enough to send me over some samples of their new Pods to try.  My first concern was that the Pods wouldn’t contain enough detergent for a full load.  I have been pleased with how clean my clothes are coming out, even the boys’ school clothes.  But, I must admit I have been doing smaller loads of launder.  I do like that it is mess free and everything is one easy step, which does speed things up.  I would recommend that you don’t touch the Pods if your hands are wet from putting the clothes in the washer as it will start to dissolve the outer layer.  Overall, I was happy with the Tide Pods and love the concept on less mess and less waste for the environment. 

Tide PODS are available for purchase now at most grocery and mass retailers.  They come in a variety of sizes, from 14 count all the way up to 90 count, with many of choices in between.
